The Path of Volutionism: Exhibition
Volutionism® traces its path through the pre-existent ideologies of Dualism, Trialism, and Pluralism. It is presented as a governing notion.
Volutionism® is derived from the word Volution, the definition of which is ‘a rolling or revolving motion’, or a twist and turn about a centre’. Volution originates from the Latin word Volutus, the past participle of Volvere, which means ‘to turn’.

Volutionsim® recognises the cyclic, repetitive nature of things and their tendency to radiate or spiral out from a central cause, expanding from a central influence or an initial cause or trigger.

Fashion extends our Artistic pursuits to incorporating the style of Volutionism®, which is predominantly Geometric, into Garment prints and designs. Initially offering Scarves, Pocket Squares and Sarongs, our designs are meant to embellish, enhance, compliment or simply complete your look.

We use high quality Silks, creating items that look great and are comfortable to wear. We print in the UK using the latest techniques while benefitting from more traditional methods and expertise, to produce vibrant Scarves and Pocket squares.

Geometry lives within the crystalline structure of stone, wood and metal alike.
From Artwok to Stone
In a marriage of old and new the tradition, of geometric design in stone and marble, is continued within our products. stone is quarried and machined on the latest CNC machines and then hand inlayed. Using metals such as brass, or stones including semi precious varieties, we produce wonderful works of Art that also perform a function.
The allure of Marble has endured millennia, and it has found its use in masonry, furniture, ornaments and artefacts.

Taping into a great resource of old, coupled with new techniques and advanced machinery, we at Lesniche® have adopted Marble and Semi precious stone as the canvas to our artwork and the medium for our design.
Volutionism: The book.
The idea to bring out a book on our artwork came about when we were contemplating how to portray the journey we have been on artistically. The stages we went through, from a dualistic black and white period to a colourful evolution, is depicted in the arrangement of this book.
We felt the need to provide some insight into the idea of Volutionism® and the artwork that embodies it. This book attempts to introduce you to Volutionism and act as a window into the often abstract ideas represented by the artwork.
Inherently, we are all artists, painting the story of our lives as we journey from cradle to grave. Though our story may take many forms and we choose different ways to express and preserve our understanding of life, we are compelled to tell it. This book is part of such a story, one that has no rights or wrongs. How we see things is the truth of our story, regardless of the overall reality we exist in.
